Woah! This is still up?!

Ya know, I think after receiving the initial request to join this blog for the first time a few years ago, I completely forgot about it and have just now stumbled on it! It never notified me when anyone posted so I'm reading all the posts for the first time and some of the are from before Ames was even engaged!! Sparks!

Anyway, y'all, the reason I tripped over this blog is because I was trying to start another one about this month-long trip I'm taking! I'm visiting friends all over the States, and right now I'm at a Starbucks (heart!) in Houston, waiting for my roommate from grad school, Elizabeth, to get done with her son's doctor's appointment. I'll be in New Orleans next, visiting old college buddy Mike C, then off to Seattle to see Ames (YaYYY!!), then Boston to see my sister who's on bedrest. I'll stop by Phoenix briefly to celebrate Josh's 30th birthday (yikes! we're becoming geezers!!), then off to Bogota, Colombia with Eric, another good friend of mine from college.

Not on the Same Page

Hey all of you married ladies out there, do you ever have moments where you're like "wow Mr. Man and I are so not on the same page!!"

Cause I just had one yesterday. I saw this video, which I thought was super-hella-awesome, and Sean was like, "that was dumb."

It's been a long time gone...

Hola, ladies. This poor neglected blog. I'm sitting at work on a Saturday, after all our examinees have gone. I'm not going home because I don't have any power right now, which means no air conditioning. Yesterday, it was no internet. My friend Sarah will be calling me soon, once Joaquin goes down, or doesn't go down for a nap. Perhaps the mommas on here are familiar with that liminal period? Is he about to sleep, or just drive me crazy for another few hours? Or I suppose it would be "she". But, you get the idea.

Oh, Audrey just called! But she has to go to the bathroom. So she's going to call me back. Aparently she took a woodworking course. And I haven't even had the chance to make a lude comment about that one yet. You know, a comment like, "Is Mike enjoying your woodworking class? What does he think of your technique? I mean, Mike has probably been working wood for a few decades now, right?" Alrighty, that's probably more than enough of my rediculousness for now. Hope you're all doing well!

Yep. That's right. I'm growin' another baby. This one is due on March 19th. I feel like crap. Pregnancy sucks (well, the first 1/3 and last 1/3 do anyway).

We'll find out around Halloween (if we decide to find out at all) what gender this lil' one will be. Other than that, just trying to survive!!

How is everyone else doing? Any good projects going on??

Project BFF

Hey guys,

So Sean wants me to go to this wedding with him in October.... but my arch-nemesis (aka his ex-GF) is going to be there! :( So, of course I am annoyed about this. Actually, just the fact that he is still friends with her in general annoys me.

Now my friend Mike says that my only options are to a)deal with it, or b)break up with Sean. Which I agree, technically is true. Now he also says that if I'm going to deal with it, the best thing to do is to try to become friends with her. because then I won't feel threatened and it won't be driving a wedge in our relationship and blah blah blah.

But I think it would actually be easier for me to give up drinking coffee than to become friends with this chic.

Do you guys feel sorry for me!? :((( do you think I can do it? I will keep you guys posted on my progress, or lack thereof. :/
